About The Barn at Sunrise Ridge
Our venue sits on 13 rolling acres with golden fields, old growth trees, and an historic barn built in the late 1890's. The center of the barn is called the cathedral- with 50 foot ceilings and rough cut timber beams. What used to be the dairy barn/milking parlor is now called the reception barn. We restored and painted it white from floor to ceiling, with the north and south ends masterfully refinished in natural wood. Antique chandeliers and fairy lights brighten up the high ceilings and add a touch of class. Huge barn doors open onto a patio with a glorious sunset view. Outdoor areas are adorned with overhead string lights, quaint tables and chairs for Hor D'oeuvres and an old shed revamped with re-claimed tin barn roofing for the outdoor bar. Other outbuildings also have a rich history of neighbors coming to socialize, dance and gather after harvests. We hope to maintain this piece of Whatcom County history by creatively repurposing and restoring its beautiful walls into something new, and yet retain its original authenticity. We are excited to help our clients use this space to make their dreams for their special wedding or event a reality!
